It’s funny how much plans can change throughout a year from what you originally had in mind. Although 2013 was a busy travel year for me, there were a lot of unexpected trips and adventures. So without further ado, here is my review of 2013!
North American International Auto Show
Every year I begin with one of my favorite events, the North American International Auto Show in my hometown of Detroit. I’m kind of a car geek, so I love seeing all the new vehicles that might be coming out soon and others that are only concepts and won’t ever see the light of day. Some of my favorites this year were the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray.
This week’s photo is from the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas. The colorful ceiling in the lobby is quite a shock when walking in.
After writing about some travel hacking strategies in Las Vegas, I wanted to share some of my favorite casinos. Although I really didn’t gamble at all except for a couple of bets at the sports book, these are the casinos I found the most interestingly themed and visually appealing. See if you agree.
Having a mini-replica of one of the world’s most famous towers, Paris Casino is one of the most iconic figures on the Las Vegas strip.
This week’s photo is of the ‘other’ Paris, in none other than Las Vegas. Although only a scale of the original, Paris in Vegas is still one of the best things to see when the Strip is all lit up at night.
Have a great weekend!
Las Vegas is a great place to spend a weekend, but it is definitely not a budget destination (if you do it right, at least). Here are some tips on how you can do a bit of travel hacking in Las Vegas and get hooked up in Sin City without spending a fortune. These are all things that worked for me on a recent trip.
